What is second Life? Second Life is an online virtual world game. The aim of the game? Whatever you want it to be. Second life does not have an “end game” Like mmorpgs. It’s a life you create for yourself OUTSIDE of your real Life. Whatever you want to do, you can do on Second Life or (SL). Second Life’s content is created exclusively by the SL community. Second Life allows players to build items, create their sims and start a business to sell their created items to other players.  This way, the virtual world will have endless possibilities and content coming out regularly.

There are many ways for people to enjoy their second Life. Most of the time, it’s the social side of it that keeps people on it. Make friends who like the same things you do, or find a secondlife love interest. Go out to a club and dance the night away (for free!). Feeling frisky? Go visit one of the many strip clubs around Second Life. With Real People behind the virtual strippers, things can get kinda hot!

Personally, I don’t want to make second Life like my RL. SL, for me, Is a place where people can do all the things they can’t or wouldn’t do in RL. A great aspect of the game is having your own land. A land where you can build a house, move in with your sl wife or husband and bring in the kids. A bacholer pad for the renowned “Player” (yes there is sex in second life). Maybe just a piece of land to run your business, whatever the case, investing in land is a key part of enjoying SL. There is a difference between owning land and owning a sim. A sim is yours, you own it and can do whatever you want with it. It’s a massive simulated area. These sims go for about 1000 USD and you have to pay 250 USD every week. Renting a piece of land is much cheaper. Depending on the size and prims, you could pay from 500 Linden per week. Linden is the game currency used in second life.

You can buy linden with real money, or work for someone and earn it. Another way is to start your own business in SL and make Lindens from that.
