Driving and Vehicles in Second Life
Ready to live the fast life? Ready to show off your awesome exotic car? Ready to travel the untamed desert in a dune buggy? Then let’s get to it!With all the awesome things to do in second life, cruising the world in a cool vehicle is one of my favorites. I’ve flown around on a helicopter, driven the hottest cars, was speeding on a Harley Davidson, and even went deep sea fishing on a yacht. The feeling of riding in a vehicle feels liberating some how.
How does one ride a vehicle? It’s simple. Just right click on the vehicle and choose to “sit”. Once you are seated, simply move around like you normally do. Navigating a vehicle is a bit more difficult than navigating your avatar. With practice however, you will get it right eventually.
What’s the down side of driving vehicles in Second Life? There is only one that I can think of. It is one but it is the most annoying. If you buy a vehicle, the odds are that you will not be able to drive it on most sims. The vehicle needs to be rezzed in order for you to use it. Most sims don’t allow the rezzing of objects…Bastards :’(

The best place to go, or so I was told, was a large sandbox. It was good for a while before I started to get bored of the scenery. I then found out that there were sims dedicated to racing. You could rezz your car and go up against other people. Another thing I found out was that even though most sims don’t allow ress, they already have vehicles rezzed for you to use for freeeeee.
Most SL users hardly find enjoyment in using vehicles. It might just be me because I’m a car nut xD
I conclude by saying:
Vehicles are awesome
Be safe
And don’t drink and drive…seriously!
Thanks for reading!
